After a very successful Dynamis-Xarcabard in which Sanah finally got his Duelist's Chapeau after what is close to 4 years, this is a very acceptable state of affairs!

The Good News is that after more than a month or so of internal debate, suggestions, compromises, and finally agreement amongst the sacks, the LS has decided to fund a Relic Weapon. We will specifically be funding Icedout's Amanomurakumo (Relic GK). Given that S&F has had two previous sponsorships fall short of completion, there have been significant number of limitations placed on him. The largest of which stipulate that currency will be spread between all the sack holders and that the weapon will not be partially upgraded - it will only be done when all the currency has been collected. These limitations are in place to ensure that the LS itself continues to function well, has currency available for members to upgrade AF, and most importantly, continues to keep Dynamis free.

The Bad News involves lotting comments and the potential for cheating. Prior to entering Dynamis, all lotting comments are recorded for that run. When a piece of AF drops, the list for that specific run is consulted. Changing your lotting comment mid-run confuses this list significantly. Additionally, if it appears you have quickly changed your lotting comment to improve your chances at obtaining a piece of AF you will be immediately removed from the run and then possibly permanently expelled from the linkshell.

To end on a good note, we are especially thankful that the LS responded so quickly in terms of passing Chromium's own Duelist's Chapeau during his D/C. It was magnificent that we were able to accomplish this.  Though it was, perhaps, a bit cruel to pretend it had been lost when he logged back in.

This is a reminder that the special program for existing members to declare TAU jobs and re-order their current job declarations ends this Sunday. After this weekend, you will only be able to add TAU jobs to the end of your declared job list.

There will be maintenance on Monday September 8th. This *may* enable TAU pieces in Dynamis. If you have made TAU declarations, please confirm that it has been accepted. If verification has been requested, please send a /tell while on the relevant job for certification. If you are not certified, your job declarations will not be entered in the database.

Quoting from the TAU Information post:

Quote
NOTE: Due to the anticipated desirability of TAU Relic Armor, members will be required to demonstrate they are appropriate level to lot AF2 armor. If a member’s TAU job level is not of Relic Armor level, the request to declare will be declined.

Thank you for your cooperation in keeping this running smoothly.

At this time, we are not accepting requests to change lotting jobs or declare ToAU jobs for lotting and points purposes. This policy is in effect for both new applicants and current members.

New members wishing to apply and declare ToAU jobs are required to wait until finalization of the lotting rules changes to actually declare these new jobs as lotting jobs and earn points on them. However, new members can accumulate points and work through their probationary period as if they had declared a valid lotting job.

For current LS members, the LS leadership is trying to work on a system that may allow a reassignment of job priorities that would include access to ToAU jobs. We are also looking at systems which might allow members to retain a some fraction of their points when declaring a ToAU job.

Lastly, note that any finalized policies will be posted here at the LS Forums. While an announcement will likely be made on the LS, the actual rules and details will be posted here. Do not expect that the new rules will be typed verbatim into the LS by your sack leaders. It is, as always, your responsibility to consult the Forums for the most updated rules.

As mentioned in the upcoming announcements for the September update, there will be new changes coming to Dynamis. These include the addition of Blue Mage, Corsair, and Puppetmaster Relic, Relic–1, and Accessories. There will also be an increase in the drop rates in certain zones.

In light of these announcements, we fully expect to see an increased interest in Dynamis, from both former members wishing to return and new applicants wishing to join. However, at the moment, we are considering how to adjust our lotting policies, and to make sure we are ready to open the floodgates to new (or returning) members.

We will post more information as we make these decisions.

The final listing of people - and the jobs they will be asked to bring - will be posted soon.

If you are attending this run, you MUST:
1) Bring and use appropriate food
2) Bring and use echo drops and poison pots, AND Holy Water
3) Show up to the Tavnazia Safehold by 8:30 Eastern

There will be complex lotting rules as Hydra gear as well as northland af, and also various -1's can drop.

If you are not in the Tavnazian Safehold by 8:45pm - or if you do not give advance notice of expected delay, you may sacrifice your spot.

Final Listing here:
